INDIA 70's Vintage Patchwork quilts(ec-110) 70'sヴィンテージパッチワークキルト

インド・ラジャスターン州で作られたパッチワークキルトです。70年代ごろのものと思われます。何枚かの布を重ね合わせて作られたパッチワークは全て手仕事で、この地域の豊かで活気ある文化を反映しており実にユニークなものです。

色の組み合わせが特徴的な２枚が同じ場所で手に入りました。こちらははっきりとした色の組み合わせの幾何学模様に、裏面は刺繍されたヨーロピアンプリントの生地を使い、カンタのような刺し子のステッチが施されています。
大変丈夫に作られている上に、大事に使われていたことが伝わってきます。

ラジャスターン州ではミラーワークやパッチワークのテクニックが盛んで、親しみがある手仕事です。
